  • President of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari has rejected the request by India to Islamabad leaving over 20 suspects to be in Pakistan, says: “If we had evidence, we evaluate them in our courts. We are trying in our country and we sentence them.” Zardari said he doubted that India has asked the sole survivor of terrorism in the Mumbai terror attacks, as captured by Indian security forces, was a Pakistani.
  • “We have not produced any evidence to say definitively that he is a Pakistani. I doubt that he is a Pakistani,” he said, appearing on Larry King Live program on CNN Tuesday night.
  • The president has strongly denied its involvement in the country dared to attack in Mumbai, says that the terror strikes in India’s financial capital were executed by the “stateless actors” who wanted to take the world to ransom. “Zardari has also ruled out any possibility of Pakistan and India go to war, declaring that” democracies do not go to war. “

Obama personal cell phone account info breached

  • U.S. President-elect Barack Obama’s personal cell phone has been shown unauthorisedly of certain employees of Verizon Wireless, the company said.
  • Verizon Wireless, which is number two mobile phone service provider in terms of number of subscribers, has apologized for this failure on Thursday and put all employees who have accessed the cell phone unauthorisedly personal account of Obama, leave immediately.
  • “We apologize to President-elect Obama and work to maintain the confidence of our customers every day,” company Chairman and CEO Lowell McAdam said in a statement late Thursday.
  • “This week we learned that a number of Verizon Wireless employees, without authorization, visited and consulted with the President-elect Barack Obama of personal cell phone account,” said the statement.
  • The account has been inactive for several months, Verizon Wireless said, adding that the cell phone instruments on the votes of a simple flip-phone, a BlackBerry or other smart phone for e-mail or other data services.
  • “All employees who accessed the information – whether authorized or not – have been put on leave immediately. Given the circumstances of each employee account is determined, the company will take appropriate measures” he said.
  • “Employees with legitimate access will return to their positions, while employees who access the account and without legitimate business justification will face appropriate disciplinary action,” said Verizon Wireless.
  • There was no immediate reaction from the office of President-elect
